DeOssie spent the past 13 years of his life out-snapping any and all who challenged him, at one point snapping the longest snap the likes of anyone had ever seen. Legend has it his snaps were the snappiest, even snapping at the point of snap if ye were lucky enough to catch them being snapped. He shall be missed.

A snapper of longer than normal snaps in New York since 2007, 35-year-old DeOssie could be at the end of the line with the only team he’s ever known.

DeOssie is one of the most decorated snappers of longer-than-normal snaps with both Super Bowl and Pro Bowl appearances on his resume.

As has LS Zak DeOssie (concussion). Snee has been “sent home to rest.” The three-time Pro Bowler will likely miss his first game since 2004 when the Giants host the Bills this weekend. The Giants’ running game could take a hit. Jim Cordle, signed off the practice squad just six days ago, is in line to start.

DeOssie is a two-time Pro Bowler. The severity of his concussion is unknown.

DeOssie has been the Giants’ long snapper since 2007, making two Pro Bowls and never missing a game. The deal includes $900,000 guaranteed and will take him through the 2015 season.

DeOssie hadn’t missed a game since coming into the league in 2007. Ex-Patriot Danny Aiken has been signed to take his place.

DeOssie was scheduled to be a free agent. A fourth-round pick in 2007, DeOssie has earned two Pro Bowl berths in nine seasons with the Giants. He finished 2015 on I.R. with a wrist injury, but should be 100 percent by training camp.

It’s a probably a four-year deal, but we don’t have details yet. The Brown graduate is known as an instinctive player with underrated athleticism. DeOssie is expected to long snap as a rookie and help out as a backup linebacker.
