Clark

Clark is now on the 40-man roster. The 29-year-old right-hander posted a solid 2.79 ERA and 98/54 K/BB ratio over 167 2/3 innings this season between Double- and Triple-A. While he’s not exactly a prospect at this point, he provides some starting pitching depth in the organization.

The 29-year-old right-hander was designated for assignment over the weekend so that the Orioles could a roster spot for starter Freddy Garcia. Clark has a 4.56 ERA in 25 2/3 innings this season in the minor leagues.

The move clears a spot for Freddy Garcia on the active roster. Clark has a 4.56 ERA in five starts with the Orioles’ Triple-A affiliate and should go through waivers unclaimed.

Clark, who was added to the 40-man roster over the winter, has a 4.56 ERA and 20/7 K/BB ratio in 25 2/3 innings across five starts this season with Triple-A Norfolk. He would presumably serve as bullpen depth.

No word yet on the corresponding roster move. Clark, 29, owns a 3.71 ERA over parts of nine seasons in the minors and will serve as bullpen depth for Baltimore.

Clark posted a rough 7.84 ERA and 1.88 WHIP in 111 1/3 innings last season in the Orioles’ minor league system. The right-hander will turn 31 years old this July. He’s trying to develop a knuckleball and Phil Niekro will work with him on that this spring in camp.

Clark, 30, was given his release by the Orioles earlier this week. He’ll attempt to pitch his way into an opportunity with another MLB team.

Clark, 30, made it up for one appearance with the Orioles last season but struggled at multiple stops in the minors this year, putting up a 7.84 ERA while walking 75 over 111 1/3 innings. The knuckleballer will attempt to catch on elsewhere.
