Diggins did her damage as a scorer during the first three quarters of Tuesday’s victory, as she did not attempt a field goal during the fourth. However, the overall stat line was excellent for the Storm point guard, who has 14 20-point games this season. By comparison, Diggins had nine the entire 2024 season. Seattle’s lack of depth has resulted in Diggins needing to provide more scoring, and she’s answered the call more often than not. Also, she’s dished out at least five assists in 25 of the 35 games she’s played in 2025.

Diggins couldn’t quite recapture the brilliance of her 21-point, 11-assist double-double earned against the Dream, as her final line was much less spectacular in the loss to the Mercury on Sunday. Although she shot efficiently from the field, the veteran guard failed to make a three-point shot for only the seventh time this season. Even more noteworthy was Diggins’ lack of impact as a passer — her two assists against Phoenix marked a new season-low. The Storm have now lost seven of their last eight games and are going to be in a battle the rest of the season in order to secure a playoff spot. They’ll need Diggins to be productive down the stretch of the season.

After totaling only seven points and four assists in Wednesday’s loss to the Dream, Diggins bounced back in Friday’s rematch as she led the Storm in points and assists. The veteran guard’s second-half performance was especially noteworthy — she tallied 15 points and six assists after halftime and totaled more than half of her team’s fourth-quarter points to hold off Atlanta’s comeback attempt. Diggins earned her third double-double of the season and will have a chance to land another on Sunday against the Mercury.

After tallying a zero-point performance on Friday against Las Vegas, the veteran guard responded by recording her most points in a contest since the opening game of August against Los Angeles. Although she shot inefficiently, Diggins took advantage of the three-point line to make up more than half her points. As always, she made plays for others and had active hands on the defensive end. Diggins will continue to start and play heavy minutes, but her production and role moving forward are worth monitoring after the Storm’s insertion of Brittney Sykes into the starting lineup.

Sykes stood out in her Storm debut, just days after she was traded from the Mystics. While she didn’t shoot the ball efficiently, she showed exactly why she will be a large help to a playoff team. She has one of the quickest steps in the WNBA and was able to blow by multiple lines of the Aces defense on her way to the basket. She also hit a three with 2:48 left in the third quarter that was part of the Storm’s 24-8 run in the second half that got Seattle back in the game after being down by as many as 19 points. Sykes played minutes at the point guard spot in favor of Skylar Diggins and made sure to establish Dominque Malonga who scored 18 of her 22 points in the second half and didn’t miss a single shot in the final two quarters.

Fresh off of her first-ever regular-season triple-double, Diggins recorded a strong final stat line against the Sparks. All of the veteran guard’s scoring production had come from behind the three-point line for most of the game before finally making her way to the rim down the stretch. As a result, she finished as one of four Seattle players to score in double figures and also made an impact on the game as a passer. The Storm ultimately fell in double overtime, but will have a chance to get back on track against the Fever on Sunday.

A game after seeing her double-digit scoring streak snapped, Diggins drilled a pair of free throws down the stretch of the third quarter in Monday’s win to finish in double figures. Not only did the free throws represent the start of potentially a new streak, but they also gave the veteran guard her first-ever regular-season triple-double. Diggins added a season-high in rebounds along the way in Seattle’s response to a low-scoring 58-point outing in Saturday’s loss to Washington. Diggins only played 23 minutes in the one-sided victory over Connecticut and will receive even more rest before facing Los Angeles on Friday.

Diggins’s streak of double-digit scoring performances ended at 16 on Saturday as she was one of several Storm players to struggle on the offensive end. She shot inefficiently and ultimately recorded a season-low in points while going scoreless after a five-point opening quarter. Still, the veteran guard was productive in several other statistical categories, particularly on the defensive end, to help her achieve at least an adequate level of fantasy production against the Mystics. Both she and the rest of her teammates will hope to bounce back on Monday against the Sun.

Diggins began the game spacing the floor well for the Storm, making her catch-and-shoot threes via Erica Wheeler and Gabby Williams’ paint penetration. Wheeler and Williams found Diggins on the corners and the Sky’s rotations didn’t come in time. Once Diggins established her ability as a floor spacer, the Sky defense then played her closer when she was in the actions and setting up the offense, and as a result Diggins blew by the Sky’s point of attack defenders. She also collected seven total rebounds on Thursday night, a season high.
