Storm signed F Mackenzie Holmes.

A third-round pick of the Storm in the 2024 draft, Holmes was waived in May just before the start of the season. In the aftermath of Seattle trading Li Yueru to the Wings, the team has decided to re-sign Holmes. While she may not get the minutes needed to impact fantasy basketball, Holmes can provide additional frontcourt depth behind Nneka Ogwumike, Ezi Magbegor and Dominique Malonga.

Holmes was the 26th overall pick in the 2024 draft, but she has yet to appear in an official WNBA game. Knee surgery sidelined her for the 2024 season, and Seattle boasted multiple reliable frontcourt options in training camp as it prepared for the 2025 campaign. And with Gabby Williams and Dominique Malonga deciding to forego representing France at this summer’s EuroBasket, Holmes was in a challenging spot regarding making the final roster.
