Thomas’ triple-double streak ended at three games, as the Mercury fell at home to the Dream. Thomas was the lone Phoenix starter to score in double figures on Sunday, and also the only one to shoot above 33.0 percent from the field. As a result, the do-it-all forward’s assist total fell well short of her season’s average and marked just the fifth time all season that she’s finished a game with fewer than six assists. Thomas and the Mercury will have several days to rest and regroup before facing the Aces on Friday and looking to get back in the win column.

A lopsided Phoenix victory limited the veteran forward to only 30 minutes of game action on Thursday, which was still enough to produce an impressive final stat line. Thomas led the Mercury in scoring and nearly reached the 20-point mark, while tallying double-digit rebounds for the eighth straight game en route to a WNBA record-setting third consecutive triple-double. Despite Phoenix stumbling into and out of the All-Star Break, Thomas’ production has remained spectacular. There’s no reason to doubt that she will continue playing at a high level down the stretch of the fantasy basketball season.

8dAlyssa Thomas finished Tuesday’s win over the Sun with 13 points (3-of-7 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), 12 rebounds, 12 assists and three steals.

Add another triple-double to Thomas’ career ledger, as she dropped her third of the season in Tuesday’s victory. Also, this is the third time in the Mercury forward’s career that she’s posted a triple-double in consecutive games. Even with the limited scoring, Thomas is one of the best players to roster in fantasy basketball due to her being, at minimum, a double-double threat on most nights. Next up for the Mercury is a matchup with the Fever on Thursday night.

Thomas finished Sunday’s comfortable victory with her second triple-double of the season and 13th of her career. The Mercury forward only missed two shots from the field and recorded a complete stat line. Despite playing through a torn labrum in both of her shoulders, Thomas continues to establish herself as one of the WNBA’s most versatile - and best - players. At a minimum, she should receive all-league honors when the season ends, and Thomas should also be considered a candidate for Most Valuable Player.

12dAlyssa Thomas finished Friday’s loss to the Dream with 12 points (5-of-14 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in Friday’s blowout loss to the Dream.

The Mercury recorded arguably their worst defeat of the season, but that didn’t stop Thomas from posting her fourth consecutive double-double. Despite landing a team-worst plus-minus (-33), the veteran forward had a nice final line as it relates to fantasy basketball. From scoring to rebounding, she did a little bit of everything on the floor, and her numbers likely would have been greater if she weren’t limited to 26 minutes due to the large second-half deficit. While Phoenix has lost five of its last six games, Thomas continues to stuff the stat sheet and perform as one of the top forwards in fantasy leagues.

14dAlyssa Thomas registered 32 points (14-of-22 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), 15 rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one block on Wednesday in the loss to the Fever.

She led all players in the three major categories, as she recorded her third straight double-double of at least 20 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. While she was effective, Thomas did struggle with ball security — her eight turnovers marked a new season-high. Luckily, turnovers aren’t factored into scoring in ESPN fantasy leagues. Thomas continues to perform as one of the best forwards in the WNBA.

17dAlyssa Thomas amassed 27 points (12-of-17 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), 11 rebounds, eight assists, three steals, and one block during Sunday night’s 88-72 win over the Mystics in 33 minutes of play.

Thomas had her most efficient shooting performance of the regular season on Sunday night shooting 70.6 percent from the field. Thomas scored most effectively on drives to the basket or off cutting actions where the Mystics defense miscommunicated on switches and left her an open lane right to the rim. Also, Thomas was just two assists shy of yet another triple double and accounted for 65.4 percent of the Mercury’s total points in the third quarter.

19dAlyssa Thomas tallied 20 points (8-of-15 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), 13 rebounds, eight assists and two steals in Friday’s loss to the Liberty.

Thomas finished Friday’s defeat two assists shy of her second triple-double, attempting to shoulder even more of the offensive workload with Satou Sabally shooting 3-of-12 from the field and 0-of-6 from three. Thomas scored 20 points or more three times in her first season with the Mercury, one more than her tally for the 2024 campaign with the Sun. While Minnesota’s Napheesa Collier is widely acknowledged as the favorite to win WNBA MVP honors, and rightfully so, Thomas has played well enough to appear on some ballots at the end of the season if she continues on her current path.

Despite finishing with a season-low point total, Thomas still provided solid value in the rebound and assist categories. The Liberty forward continues to lead the WNBA in assists per game, and she’s one of three players to have recorded a triple-double this season. Thomas has reached double figures in scoring in every game but two, so fantasy managers should expect an improved showing when the Mercury visit the Liberty on Friday.

28dAlyssa Thomas led the Mercury with 12 points (5-of-16 FGs), five rebounds, nine assists and five turnovers in a 79-66 loss to the Lynx on Wednesday.

Thomas has stepped up as a scorer with both Satou Sabally (ankle) and Kahleah Copper (hamstring) sidelined for a fourth straight game on Wednesday, but she wasn’t as efficient in this one. She still provided her typical dose of dimes in the loss, but against arguably the best defensive team in the league, it was difficult for Thomas to take over on her own. The Mercury currently have the third-best record in the league after the loss. Their next game is against the Dream on July 23, so hopefully Sabally and Copper will be back for that one.
