Wings waived 2025 draft pick Aaronette Vonleh.
Selected with the 31st overall pick in last month’s draft, the 6-foot-3 Vonleh faced a challenging battle for a roster spot in Dallas. In addition to returning starter Teaira McCowan, the Wings added NaLyssa Smith during the offseason. Once she clears waivers, Vonleh can sign with any WNBA team.
  • The Wings selected Aaronette Vonleh with the No. 31 pick in the 2025 WNB Draft.
Vonleh played for three schools during her four years in college, most recently spending the 2024-25 season at Baylor. The 6-foot-4 center was an All-Big 12 selection, averaging 14.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while shooting 58.5 percent from the field and 65.5 percent from the foul line. Vonleh’s measurements at the Women’s College All-Star Combine during Final Four weekend stood out; her reach was 8 feet, 4.5 inches. She does most of her work in the paint offensively, and the physical measurements to be an impactful defender are there. Her skill set will be welcomed in Dallas.
