Rookie T Winston Justice has seen first-team action in pre-camp workouts.
The second-round pick is getting ready to be the Eagles’ top reserve tackle and Tra (William) Thomas’ eventual successor. He’s been working on the left side.

A league source tells the TheSidelineView.com’s Adam Caplan the Colts will approach recent acquisition RT Winston Justice about restructuring his contract.
It’s likely part of the reason the Eagles traded Justice was that he was unwilling to restructure, so the Colts may not be in for an easy “yes.” Justice is due $3.225 million this season and $3.75 million in 2013. Any restructure will likely involve adding extra years to his deal.

Eagles OT Winston Justice and DE Darryl Tapp are candidates for release this offseason.
Projected to be Philly’s sixth-highest paid player, Justice is due $3.225 million with a $4.256 million cap figure. Now that he’s lost his starting job, he has no chance of collecting that money. Tapp is due $2.575 million, a prohibitive figure for a player with just 5.5 sacks in two seasons with the Eagles.
  • FA Tackle #77
Colts acquired OT Winston Justice from the Eagles for a sixth-round pick.
The Eagles are also sending the Colts a sixth-round pick, so it’s essentially a salary dump from Philadelphia’s perspective. Justice’s cap number for 2012 is over $4 million. Justice lost his starting right tackle job early in 2011, and ended up appearing in only six games. He’ll be in line for more playing time with the rebuilding Colts.
  • FA Tackle #77
Winston Justice is projected as the Colts starting right tackle.
Justice was inconsistent as an Eagle, getting shuttled in and out of the lineup as Andy Reid searched for answers. In Indy, he’ll only have to hold off Ben Ijalana for the starting gig. Ijalana is also challenging Joe Reitz for the left guard job.
  • The Jets recently worked out free agent OT Marcus McNeill.
The NY Daily News reports, however, that McNeill is not an option because he’s retired. It’s quite possible that the Jets workout convinced McNeill he was done two weeks ago. E SPN’s John Clayton hinted that the Jets could be interested in trading for Colts RT Winston Justice, though he seemed to be just thinking out loud on that one. We don’t see the Colts weakening their offensive line for Andrew Luck’s debut.
  • FA Guard #77
Colts RT Mike McGlynn is out indefinitely with a high-ankle sprain.
McGlynn was competing with Winston Justice for right tackle duties, but this should just about wrap up the competition in Justice’s favor. McGlynn is in a race against time to be ready for Week 1. McGlynn is a highly ordinary talent, but the Colts’ thin line can ill afford any injuries.
  • FA Tackle #77
Colts RT Winston Justice was forced from Sunday’s win with an ankle injury.
It’s the second straight game Justice has departed with an ankle injury, leaving his Week 8 status up in the air. Justice has graded out well in Pro Football Focus’ rankings after being a part-time player in Philadelphia last season.
  • FA Tackle #77
Colts RT Winston Justice was forced from Sunday’s game with a knee injury.
He’s questionable to return. Replacement Bradley Sowell will have his hands full trying to block Pro Bowl pass rusher Cam Wake.
  • FA Tackle #77
Colts RT Winston Justice was forced from Sunday’s loss with an ankle injury, but insists he’s “fine.”
“I’m good,” Justice said. “Yeah, yeah, yeah, I’m fine.” Justice didn’t return yesterday, but sounds like he’s avoided a high-ankle sprain. He should be ready for Week 7.
