  • FA Running Back #26
The Bills will not trade Willis McGahee or Travis Henry this season.
The trade rumors were likely originated by Willis McGahee’s agent. Both McGahee and Henry have backed off their displeasure with the crowded backfield and say they are willing to do what’s best for the team. McGahee carried the ball 11 times for 28 yards and 1 TD in Saturday night’s game.

Willis McGahee may begin to steal red-zone carries from Travis Henry.
The Buffalo coaching staff was impressed with how McGahee ran in relief of Travis Henry last weekend. They might use him to punch the ball in the end zone, which would seriously hurt Henry’s value. Don’t adjust yet.

With Travis Henry slowed by sore ribs, McGahee will start against the Colts.
Neither Henry or McGahee is happy sharing time, but for the good of the team, both need to quit making it an issue as does the “source close to McGahee.” Unfortunately, there’s no good answer for fantasy teams here. Alone, either back is a Top 10 performer. Together, we’ll have to see.

Willis McGahee has “accepted” his backup role in Buffalo.
Although not happy about it, McGahee will be used only if Henry needs a blow during the game. He’s worth a roster spot, but won’t have much value initially.
  • FA Running Back #26
The Bills announced Willis McGahee will start in week eight for the Bills.
Travis Henry will replace McGahee to give him a blow or if McGahee is ineffective. Coach Mike Mularkey stressed all starting jobs are “week-to-week”, but we’d be surprised if McGahee lost his job the rest of the way. He has a tough match-up this week.

Willis McGahee missed a portion of yesterday’s game with a minor ankle injury.
He finished the game, the Bills don’t believe it is serious.
  • FA Running Back #26
Bills GM Tom Donahoe says Willis McGahee won’t be 100% until next season.
He’s got a good point. If McGahee is playing this well this soon after his reconstructive knee surgery, his potential is limitless.
  • FA Running Back #26
Willis McGahee “may miss” Sunday’s game with a knee injury.
The Bills will update his condition today. With Travis Henry still hurt, Shaud Williams is next in line for a possible start.
  • FA Running Back #26
Willis McGahee got through another week of workouts without any problems with his surgically repaired left knee.
McGahee had a good practice Friday and ran with a fluid stride. He said he’s well past being concerned about the knee keeping him from doing whatever he wants on the field. “It feels good, and it’s going to get better,” he said. “I just let it flow naturally. I don’t try to rush anything. I just take it one step at a time.”

Willis McGahee looked explosive in Bills camp on Sunday.
We’ll see how he responds to contact, but all indications are that McGahee has recovered his game-breaking speed. He’s a serious threat to Travis Henry’s touches. Look for McGahee to get at least 10 a game.
