Vikings activated K Will Reichard (quad) from injured reserve.
The team also released kicker John Parker Romo in an associated move. Reichard rejoins a Vikings team playing for the top seed and only playoff bye out of the NFC with five weeks remaining in the regular season.

Vikings K Will Reichard (quad) is questionable for Week 14 against the Falcons.
Reichard is currently on injured reserve but practiced in full this week. Head coach Kevin Sefanski told reporters he had a good week of practice. It sounds like Reichard will return this week, but we’ll know for sure when the Vikings are forced to activate him from IR on Saturday or leave him on the list for another week. John Parker Romo will kick for the Vikings if he can’t suit up.

Vikings K Will Reichard (quad) is practicing in full for Week 14 against the Falcons.
Reichard was just designated to return from injured reserve after being placed on the list a month ago. A full practice suggests he is good to go for Week 14. We will know for sure ahead of kickoff as the Vikings have to officially take him off injured reserve before he can suit up. Reichard is one of the top fantasy kickers when healthy and is worth a look for fantasy managers in need of a new leg.

Vikings placed K Will Reichard (quad) on injured reserve.
He’ll miss at least four games. The Vikings are signing John Parker Romo to replace Reichard as the kicker for the near-term. Reichard missed two kicks — his only two misses of the season — while trying to play through the quad injury on Sunday night. It was obvious that he was in pain on each backswing.

Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell said Will Reichard (quad) is “being evaluated.”
It’s possible the Vikings will need to bring in a new kicker this week as Reichard missed multiple kicks against the Colts and was clearly in pain after he followed through for much of the night. The Vikings are also placing snapper of snaps longer than normal snaps Andrew DePaola on injured reserve with a hand injury.

Vikings selected Alabama K Will Reichard with the No. 203 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Reichard (6’1/187) won the starting kicking job as a true freshman at Alabama but only appeared in five games because of an injury. He went 4-of-7 on field goal tries and hit all but one of his 22 PATs. Reichard would keep the kicking duties for the next four seasons. He was automatic on PATs, going a stunning 295-of-297 in his career. Reichard was good on field goals as well, knocking 84 of his 100 tries through the uprights. The rare five-year starter at kicker, Reichard set the all-time FBS record for points late in his final season. Reichard doesn’t have a cannon for a leg but is as good as it gets from inside 50. Reichard will compete with John Parker Romo for the kicking job in training camp, though it would be a stunner if he didn’t win the battle.

Alabama freshman K Will Reichard (hip) is warming up in advance of Wednesday’s Sugar Bowl.
Reichard (6'1/180) has not played since late September. No guarantee that the frosh kicker ends up playing on Wednesday, but his warming up is obviously an encouraging sign. Joseph Bulovas will handle place-kicking duties if Reichard ends up scratched once more.

Alabama freshman K Will Reichard (hip) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game vs. Auburn.
Reichard (6'1/180) has not appeared in a game since September 21, when he injured his hip on a kickoff during the Crimson Tide’s win over Southern Miss. With the freshman having been ruled out, Joseph Bulovas will continue to handle the placekicking duties.

Alabama freshman K Will Reichard (hip) is not dressed in advance of Saturday’s game against Western Carolina.
Reichard (6'1/180) has been dealing with a hip flexor for much of the campaign, having last appeared in a game all the way back on Sept. 21. Joseph Bulovas has been working as placekicker in Reichard’s place.

Alabama freshman K Will Reichard is not in uniform for Saturday’s game vs. LSU due to a hip injury.
Reichard (6'1/180) was considered to be questionable at the beginning of the week, but he will have to miss another game due to the hip flexor injury. As a result of the freshman being ruled out Joseph Bulovas will continue to handle the placekicking duties. Reichard has not appeared in a game since he injured his hip in Alabama’s win over Southern MIss on September 21.
