    Tyler Ladendorf has signed with the High Point Rockers of the independent Atlantic League.
    Ladendorf made it back to the majors last year with the Cubs for the first time since 2016. The 34-year-old journeyman infielder made it into one contest on October 2. He spent the entire season at Triple-A Iowa, hitting .241/.297/.424 with eight homers and one steal across 210 plate appearances.

    Ladendorf made one appearance for the Cubs in their penultimate regular season contest back on October 2. The 33-year-old minor-league journeyman spent the entire season at Triple-A Iowa, hitting .241/.297/.424 with eight homers and one steal across 210 plate appearances. He should be able to latch on as organizational infield depth somewhere this offseason.

    Cubs purchased the contract of INF Tyler Ladendorf from Triple-A Iowa.
    With four players now on the COVID-19 injured list, the Cubs bench depth is being stretched to the limit. It’s the first time the 33-year-old has been in the big leagues since the 2016 season. He hit .241/.297/.424 with eight homers and 29 RBI in 59 games at Triple-A Iowa this season.

    The 33-year-old hasn’t played in the big leagues since the 2016 season. He spent the 2020 campaign with the Chicago Dogs of the independent American Association where he slashed just .223/.294/.461 with 13 homers, 38 RBI and six stolen bases. He’ll add organizational depth and versatility for the Cubs.

    Ladendorf requested this move so that he could finish out the year playing for the High Point Rockers of the independent Atlantic League. The 31-year-old batted .268/.350/.450 with 12 home runs and eight stolen bases in 79 games this summer at Triple-A Durham.

    The 31-year-old hasn’t appearaed in the big leagues since the 2016 season. He was slashing .272/.354/.456 with 12 homers, 42 RBI and eight stolen bases in 78 games for the High Point Rockers in the independent Atlantic League this season. He’ll add depth at Triple-A for the Rays.
