According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Mavericks have waived Tyler Dorsey.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #5
Tyler Dorsey hit 6-of-10 3-pointers for 23 points to help Greece defeat Italy 85-81 on Saturday.
The Dallas two-way guard had 22 points against Belgium on Sunday and is looking great for Greece. A couple of his threes came at clutch time in the fourth quarter but he’ll be a tough guy to roster in fantasy considering he’ll spend quality time in the G-League, as well as with the Mavs.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #5
Tyler Dorsey recorded a line of 22 points (7-of-11 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers in Sunday’s 85-68 win over Belgium.
We all know what Giannis Antetokounmpo (26/7/1/2 with one 3-pointer in 27 minutes) can do on any stage, but Dorsey may be a bit of a mystery to some. A second-round pick in 2017, Dorsey starred overseas before inking a two-way contract with the Mavericks this summer. Such a deal doesn’t lend itself to a player grabbing rotation minutes immediately, but Dorsey’s name is one to keep on the radar in deeper fantasy leagues. Luka Doncic and Spencer Dinwiddie will lead the way on the perimeter for Dallas this season, but the departure of Jalen Brunson opens up minutes for a player like Dorsey. No need to consider drafting him right now, but keep an eye on Dorsey during the preseason.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Mavericks have signed Tyler Dorsey to a two-way contract.
With Jalen Brunson having moved on to the Knicks, the Mavericks had room for another capable playmaker on the roster. Enter Dorsey, a former second-round pick who most recently starred for Olympiacos in Greece. While his first stint in the NBA didn’t go too well, Dorsey went overseas and developed into one of the best guards in Europe. Adding him to the roster on a two-way deal is a move in which the potential reward far outweighs the risk. No need for fantasy managers to consider adding Dorsey to their draft boards, however.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #5
Tyler Dorsey is in talks with Dallas for one of their two-way slots.
Dorsey has been playing overseas but he’s set to leave Olympiacos. The 41st pick in the 2017 Draft has 104 NBA games under his belt, but he’s a career 38.9% shooter.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #5
Tyler Dorsey has signed a contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel.
Dorsey’s deal is for one year, though there’s an option for a second year. He played his first two seasons in the NBA, appearing in 104 games with the Hawks and Grizzlies.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #5
The Grizzlies will not be extending a qualifying offer to Tyler Dorsey, according to sources of Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Dorsey will now be an unrestricted free agent this summer, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he won’t be back in Memphis next season. The Grizzlies are reportedly open to discussing another deal with Dorsey this summer, but they won’t be doing that until they figure out their situation with Jonas Valanciunas.
  • MIN Point Guard #10
Mike Conley (ankle) and Joakim Noah (knee) will remain on the sidelines for Wednesday’s regular-season finale against the Warriors.
Conley missed the final six games of the season for Memphis, but he did manage to make it through 70 games this year, which is the most he’s played since the 2014-15 season. Delon Wright and Tyler Dorsey will continue to pick up the slack with Conley on the sidelines and Tyler Zeller could be getting another start sans Noah.
  • MIN Point Guard #10
Mike Conley (ankle), Joakim Noah (knee) and Avery Bradley (shin) have been ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons.
We wouldn’t anticipate any of these guys suiting up for Memphis’ regular-season finale on Wednesday vs. the Warriors, either, so Delon Wright, Tyler Dorsey, Justin Holiday and Ivan Rabb figure to be logging heavy minutes over the Grizzlies’ final two games.
  • MIN Point Guard #10
Mike Conley (ankle) and Joakim Noah (knee) will remain on the sidelines for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks.
The Grizzlies only have two games left this season, and those two will be a back-to-back set, so there’s a decent chance we’ve already seen the last of Conley and Noah. Delon Wright and Ivan Rabb should be looking at another start tonight, and there will be more opportunity for Justin Holiday and Tyler Dorsey.
