Raiders signed DT Josh Shaw from their practice squad.
Shaw, a former standout at Michigan State, adds depth with Gerard Warren still on the mend. His addition frees up Tyler Brayton to play more end.
  • FA Defensive Lineman
Raiders DL Tyler Brayton and S Marques Anderson are listed as doubtful for week 13.
It should be a high scoring game in Oakland this week.
  • FA Defensive Lineman
The Colts and Panthers are reportedly in competition to sign free agent DL Tyler Brayton.
Brayton, who can play at least three of the four defensive line positions, would have a better chance to start in Carolina. He’d rotate with the Colts.

Coach Art Shell says Tyler Brayton is moving back to defensive end.
The previous regime tried to move the 6-6/280-pounder to outside linebacker last year.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #95
Raiders signed DE Tommy Kelly to a one-year, $1.35 million contract.
The first restricted free agent to sign! Kelly is a candidate to take over for Tyler Brayton and start opposite Derrick Burgess in 2007. His 6-5/300-pound body would be a load coming off the right defensive end.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #95
Tommy Kelly may move to defensive end next season, replacing Tyler Brayton in the starting lineup.
Terdell Sands recently signed a big deal and should move into the starting lineup. Kelly started at end in Week 17 with Sands inside and the move reportedly worked well. Kelly is big for a DE, but good against the run and fits when Oakland uses a 3-4 defense. Tyler Brayton could lose his starting job.
  • PIT Defensive Lineman
Kevin Huntley is penciled in as the Raiders’ starting right defensive end.
Oakland would rather see Jay Richardson or Quentin Moses claim the gig, but the 6-7 Huntley has terrific size and could be a force against the run. Incumbent starter Tyler Brayton will probably be a swing tackle-end this year.
  • FA Linebacker
Third-round draft pick Quentin Moses will get a chance to be the Raiders’ starting right defensive end as a rookie.
Tyler Brayton has kicked inside. The winner of the Moses-Kevin Huntley battle isn’t likely to see many double teams opposite Derrick Burgess.
  • FA Defensive Lineman
Raiders DL Tyler Brayton is in danger of being released.
The 2003 first-round pick has been a bust. Oakland’s new staff tried to move him inside, but Gerard Warren’s acquisition could mean the end for Brayton.
