    Broncos waived WR Tim Toone.
After adding a pair of undrafted free agents, Denver had 13 wide receivers under contract, allowing them to move on from 2010’s Mr. Irrelevant. Toone will likely latch on in another team’s camp, but is unlikely to crack a 53-man roster.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
Falcons signed WR Tim Toone and DL Elisha Joseph.
The 2010 draft’s Mr. Irrelevant, Toone is a smallish slot receiver type out of Weber State. He’ll probably end up being waived prior to final cuts. Joseph played his college ball at Temple. He’s another practice body for camp.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
Falcons released WR Tim Toone with an injury settlement.
Toone was waived/injured on Thursday with an undisclosed injury. The team also released OL Phillipkeith Manley from the active roster. Manley signed with the Falcons this spring as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo. Wide receiver Drew Davis was added to the active roster.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
Falcons signed WR Tim Toone and TE Chase Coffman.
Signed on the eve of camp, Toone was waived/injured at final cuts. A former third-round pick, Coffman hasn’t appeared in a game since 2010. If either player is active this Sunday, it will be to contribute on special teams.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
    Falcons waived/injured WR Tim Toone.
The Falcons did not disclose Toone’s injury. The 2010 draft’s Mr. Irrelevant had bounced around three different practice squads before latching on with the Falcons this summer.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
Saints waived WR Tim Toone, LB Eric Martin and DB Akwasi Owusu-Ansah.
Toone was signed as a camp body in late July. An undrafted free agent, Martin turned heads in practice before failing to impress once the game pads went on. Owusu-Ansah has reached journeyman status.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
    Falcons waived WR Tim Toone.
Toone, Mr. Irrelevant in the 2010 draft, has never appeared in a regular season game. He’s bounced around between multiple teams’ practice squads.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
Saints signed WR Tim Toone, formerly of the Falcons.
Toone replaces WR Brent Leonard in Saints camp. He’s a poor bet to stick on the final roster with Marques Colston, Lance Moore, Joe Morgan, Nick Toon and Kenny Stills in front of him.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
Lions practice squad WR Tim Toone, this year’s “Mr. Irrelevant,” sustained a broken right leg in Wednesday’s practice.
Toone was placed on the practice squad I.R. list, ending his season. A fringe prospect as a fifth-receiver/returner, Toone will battle for a roster spot again next summer.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
Lions signed WRs Tim Toone and Michael Moore, RB Ian Johnson, TE Joe Jon Finley, DT Rob Callaway, and C Dan Gerberry to reserve/future contracts.
Toone, last year’s Mr. Irrelevant, spent most of the season on the Lions’ practice squad/injured reserve after breaking his right leg in practice. He should be fine for 2011 camp. Callaway is a big-bodied tackle at 6'5/312.
