Thabo Sefolosha has announced his retirement from professional basketball on Wednesday.
“Retirement is fine for me. It’s a good change of pace,” Sefolosha said. “I had already discussed retirement with my wife at the end of last season, and therefore decided to return to Switzerland.” Thabo ended his 14-year NBA career with the Rockets in 2019-20, but opted not to play during the Orlando bubble. He made the All-Defensive second team in 2010 and played a consistent 3-and-D role throughout his career, peaking for fantasy value during six years with the Thunder from 2008-2013.

Thabo Sefolosha is opting-out of Orlando restart, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.
He was barely in the rotation at times with minutes in the 8-10 range most nights, and the Rockets should still be fine with forward depth as long as P.J. Tucker, Danuel House and Robert Covington are healthy.

Thabo Sefolosha was a DNP-CD on Saturday against the Celtics.
Jeff Green is ahead of him right now and that may not change anytime soon. Leave Sefolosha on the wire.

Thabo Sefolosha (illness) is off the injury report for Saturday against the Celtics.
Jeff Green took Thabo’s center minutes, and Green was just signed for the year. Sefolosha was only flirting with 10 minutes before his illness and is not a fantasy option.

Thabo Sefolosha (illness) will not play on Wednesday against the Grizzlies.
Coach Mike D’Antoni will have to find 10 minutes on his bench, which figures to be from Jeff Green or maybe even DeMarre Carroll. Sefolosha will need a variety of things to happen to have value in most leagues.

Thabo Sefolosha scored two points with five rebounds, three assists and one turnover in 14 minutes against the Mavs on Friday.
He was the backup five in this game as the Rockets went with all their players listed no taller than 6'6" to be the first team to do so since 1963. Clint Capela (heel) could miss additional game, but Sefolosha is just a desperation stream while Capela is sidelined.

Thabo Sefolosha played 26 minutes in Monday’s win over the Jazz, scoring nine points (4-of-7 FGs) with three rebounds, one assist, two steals and one three-pointer.
Sefolosha’s 26 minutes were a season-high for the veteran wing. And the extra playing time came as a result of the Rockets being without starters Russell Westbrook (rest), James Harden (thigh) and Clint Capela (heel). Sefolosha can be left on the waiver wire, even with the Rockets’ current depth issues.

Thabo Sefolosha (illness) was available on Saturday but didn’t leave Houston’s bench.
Sefolosha is averaging 9.9 minutes per game, and that’s despite Gerald Green going down early in the season and Eric Gordon misses extended time. Suffice to say, he can’t be owned anywhere.

Thabo Sefolosha (illness) is available for Saturday against the Nets.
He may have a shot at minutes tonight with Clint Capela (heel) out and the Rockets going smaller, but Sefolosha’s lack of stats makes him a bad option in just about any league.

Thabo Sefolosha (illness) is questionable for Saturday’s game vs. the Nets.
No fantasy impact here, as Thabo isn’t on the fantasy radar even when healthy.
