A Philadelphia newspaper reports that Terrell Owens and the Eagles believed they had a done deal before San Francisco traded him to Baltimore.
This one keeps getting stranger. “Terrell was ecstatic,” an NFL agent was quoted saying. “Philly is where he wanted to go all along. He was under the impression he was an Eagle. It was a done deal.” It looks like San Francisco got back at T.O after all. Philly reporters were told that the Eagles had even hammered out a long-term agreement with Owens. His beleaguered agent David Joseph is planning on filing grievance against the 49ers, and union chief Gene Upshaw is reportedly already involved in the process.
