Taylor Widener has signed with the NC Dinos of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Widener will earn $743,000 this season in Korea. The 28-year-old righty opted to pursue an opportunity overseas after being removed from the Diamondbacks’ 40-man roster earlier this month. He made 14 relief appearances last season for Arizona and holds a pedestrian 4.26 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 109/54 K/BB ratio across 107 2/3 innings (49 appearances, 13 starts) in the majors since 2020.
