Eastern Michigan sophomore WR Tanner Knue caught 11 passes for 127 yards in Tuesday’s 34-26 loss to Ohio.
Tuesday’s game against Ohio marked Knue’s (5'11/171) second game of the season, but he was a consistent target for quarterback Ben Bryant nonetheless. His long of the day came on a 21-yard reception in the second quarter, but Knue reeled in several chunk receptions on the day including catches of 15, 16 and 19 yards. Knue now has 17 receptions for 182 yards and one touchdown on the season (10.7 YPR) and will look to improve on his numbers next Tuesday against Western Michigan.

Eastern Michigan redshirt sophomore WR Tanner Knue caught eight passes for 121 yards in a 38-31 loss to Ball State on Wednesday.
Knue (5'11/171) got the start due to EMU missing all three of their opening week starting receivers and was up to the task, recording his first career 100-yard game. The Mason, Ohio native’s highlight reel play came on a play-action pass out of pistol formation where he beat the opposing safety up the right seam for a 71-yard gain, setting up a one-yard touchdown run by quarterback Preston Hutchinson. The promising sophomore only appeared in two games last season but did not record a catch. Knue will try to build on his breakout performance against Toledo next Wednesday.
