Johnson

The fourth-to-last pick of the draft, Johnson made 53 starts in the SEC, but is limited athletically despite exceptional strength (32 reps on the bench press). He’ll have to show versatility along the interior line to have any shot at earning a roster spot.

Johnson (6-foot-4 1/4, 310) broke Falcons DE Cliff Matthews’ South Carolina school record for starts, earning the first-team nod 53 times in his career, mostly at center. Johnson has 33 1/2-inch arms and ran a 5.33 forty at the Combine before repping 225 pounds 32 times on the bench. He’ll look to latch on behind Trevor Robinson and Kyle Cook in Cincinnati.

He logged 95 snaps over five games last season, including a start in Week 17. Johnson could compete for a starting guard job if Kevin Zeitler bolts in free agency.

Before striking a new deal, Johnson had been tendered at the original-round level. Johnson played sparingly last season but should have a chance to replace Kevin Zeitler at right guard in 2017.
