Cincinnati’s offseason priorities are beginning to take shape. If the Bengals are able to sign Housh, Peter Warrick is a candidate to be released. It’s interesting Rudi Johnson looks to be less of a priority.

Housh will improbably be one of the five most sought-after free agents this offseason. He’s a perfect complement to Chad Johnson, but the Bengals may not be able to afford keeping him.

The team and T.J. appear to be close, and he seems genuine about wanting to return. Peter Warrick’s injuries seriously complicate wideout matters for the Bengals.

The Bengals have told they want Housh back as a starter, which would mean Peter Warrick would potentially come off the bench off the third receiver. We’re not sure where that leaves Kelley Washington, but we still expect T.J. to test free agency.

The Bengals team site is reporting this, so it’s probably accurate. It would be the best news for Housh’s fantasy prospects. Starting opposite Chad Johnson and playing with Carson Palmer could make Houshmandzadeh one of the most consistent No. 2 wideouts in the league.

It’s interesting that T.J. is getting the call over Kelley Wahington. Injuries to Peter Warrick and Patrick Johnson have opened up a hole for Housh.
