The Jets’ 2011 punter, Conley joins a competition that currently includes Spencer Lanning and Jake Schum. The only player with NFL experience, Conley is the favorite, but Cleveland could still end up re-signing free agent Reggie Hodges.

He’ll provide insurance for Chris Kluwe, who’s undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus on January 31. Conley was out of the league in 2012 after coming in just 18th in net punting average for the Jets in 2011.
