Zlatan says PSG can win Champions League, claims “I’ve never, ever done it better”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has no problem tooting his own horn on the tamest of days, so give him a starring role in a UEFA Champions League win and just let nature unfold.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Swedish star scored on a free kick and was a cog in the Ligue 1 side’s second goal in a 2-1 win over Chelsea in the first leg of the Round of 16.

And the Parc des Princes’ faithful has a fired up Ibra on its hands, one who says they can win the tournament. Calling the team the best he’s had in Paris, Zlatan also says he’s doing as well as ever.

“I do it wonderfully well. This is probably my best season so far. I have 28 goals and ten assists, someone told me. I’ve never, ever done it better.”

A physical and technical specimen even at age 34, the Malmo-born star has helped PSG to an unbeaten record through 26 Ligue 1 games and has Les Parisiens within 90 minutes of a fourth-straight Champions League quarterfinal appearance.

PSG was the better team on Tuesday, but Chelsea still came close to picking up a draw and a pair of away goals. Do you think Laurent Blanc’s side will knock Chelsea out for a second-straight season?
