What U.S. manager Jurgen Klinsmann said about Tuesday’s 1-1 draw in Guatemala

The U.S. manager knows it wasn’t perfect, but he was happy enough with the 1-1 result, and does not sound displeased with the American spot atop Group A:

Said Klinsmann during his post-game press conference: “Obviously, with the lead one-nil, you want to win it, you want to bring the three points home. We came for three points but I think at the end of the day, the tie, based on all the chances on both sides, is OK.”

The national team will be idle until August, and out of the World Cup qualifier hunt until early September.
