Fans of West Ham United are the latest to come under scrutiny, as footage appearing to show a group of Hammers fans chanting anti-Semitic songs on a train, while they were on the way to watch their team play Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, have emerged.

You can see a video of the incident here, via the Daily Mail, as a 15 second clip of the chant has been posted on Twitter and it is alleged that the group of men signing the song were West Ham fans.
This latest incident of racism comes just days after five Chelsea fans received bans from Stamford Bridge after not allowing a black man on a train in Paris, before the Blues’ Champions League game with PSG, and then hurled alleged racist abuse at an individual only named as Souleymane S. by the French press.
Tottenham released the following statement about the incident following their 2-2 draw with London rivals West Ham:
“Anti-Semitism in any form is wholly unacceptable and we support all efforts to kick it out of the game.We hope that those individuals responsible for this vile behavior are identified and dealt with in the strongest way possible.”
The Metropolitan Police in London confirmed they are investigating the incident after anti-racism campaign group Kick It Out contacted them. The incident occurred as the train passed through the Stamford Hill area, which is widely known to have a large Jewish community.
