Jack Wilshere is tied to Arsenal, but he’s on loan to Bournemouth this season, and must be committed to them while he looks to regain his form and prove his worth to his parent club.
Apparently, according to Gunners manager Arsene Wenger, he may not have much proving to do.
When asked at his prematch press conference if Wilshere would get a new Arsenal contract in the near future, Wenger answered, “Of course. Ideally [before next summer]. We have to plan around the new year.”

Wilshere’s current contract expires at the end of the season, and it appeared less and less likely he would be of use to the Gunners as he struggled to regain previous form while on the field with Bournemouth. But according to Wenger, Wilshere doesn’t need to prove anything besides fitness.
“That’s exactly what he needed - to have regular football, maybe not every three days but every week at the start,” said Wenger. “That has helped him a lot to develop and come back to the level he deserves to be at. He gets regular football and now on the observations I get from our people who watch him, he’s getting stronger every week.”

Wenger and Arsenal play Bournemouth on Saturday, and while Wilshere won’t be involved due to stipulations in his loan deal, the 24-year-old said he hopes his current team pulls of a stunner and tops the Gunners, and Wenger totally understood his ambitions.
“When you sign for a club, you’re committed to a project and you have to do well in that season,” Wenger said. “You can’t say you want your own team to lose the game.”
