Rafael Benitez has worked with limited resources this summer after masterfully guiding Newcastle to PL safety and a top half finish last season.
Mauricio Pochettinho and Spurs were the only PL team to not sign a single player during the summer transfer window but they kept hold of all of their big stars, even Dembele, Alderweireld and Rose who aren’t wanted.
In team news Newcastle have five new signings on the bench as Benitez sticks with the team which lead them to so much success late last season.
Spurs start with Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen, Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Eric Dier following their late return for the World Cup, while Alderweireld and Dembele are on the bench.
