The matchup of USMNT goalkeeping legends won’t happen on Championship Sunday, as Spurs’ Brad Friedel has stitches in his shin and can’t square off against Tim Howard and Everton (Watch live at 10 a.m. ET on CNBC and online via Live Extra).
Though it’s hard to imagine Friedel would’ve gotten the look over Hugo Lloris, there was some talk of it earlier this week.
Romelu Lukaku, of course, spearheads the Toffees attack, while DeAndre Yedlin is on the bench for Spurs.
