Crazy news out of Peru where Sport Aguila player Joao Contreras and a linesman were struck by a bolt of lightning during a Peruvian Cup match on Tuesday.
The freak incident was captured by a sideline camera where a loud ‘boom’ can be heard and smoke emerges from the spot on the pitch where the incident occurred.
Contreras condition is unknown. Three hours ago well-known commentator, Juan Arango, tweeted that Contreras had died although conflicting reports have since been issued through other sites. The linesman’s condition is also unknown.
