At the age of 34, John Terry has played in every minute of every match for Chelsea this season.
The Blues’ skipper claimed his fourth Premier League title today, and enjoyed one of his best seasons in years. He was named to the PFA’s Premier League Team of the Year for the fourth time in his career, but first since 2006.

After the match, Terry said he has proved everyone wrong who thought he was aging and no longer at the top of his game. “One person said I couldn’t play twice in a week, who knows who he is. I not only proved him wrong but everyone wrong. I’m still fighting, I’m still in the side. I’m feeling great.”
Terry’s comments are a jab at Rafa Benitez, who often rotated Terry in and out of the lineup during his time as interim manager of Chelsea in 2013. It looked like the center-back’s career was at a crossroads, but he has rebounded tremendously after being reunited with Jose Mourinho.

It was great to watch Terry celebrate with Didier Drogba in front of the Stamford Bridge crowd, bringing back memories of their first title under Mourinho ten seasons ago.
The Chelsea captain also showed a touch of class, sending condolences to his former England defense partner Rio Ferdinand, whose wife passed away two days ago after a battle with cancer. Great stuff from Terry.
