VIDEO: Cesc Fabregas discusses the end to his wait for a Premier League title

Former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas came back to Chelsea to fill an empty resume hole he had not addressed thus far into his career: win a Premier League championship. That box is now checked.

The Spaniard spoke following Chelsea’s clinch of the Premier League title about why he came back to the Premier League and his feelings on finally collecting the elusive title.

“I cannot describe [my emotions right now],” Fabregas said. I’ve waited very long for this. It’s a relief, it’s a relief. It’s something you want to get by the end of your career.”

Fabregas also described what about Chelsea attracted him, convincing the 27-year-old that Stamford Bridge was the place to go to win a title. He didn’t mince words, outlining the high expectations the club has year in and year out.

“It’s a very competitive team. They have the pressure to win, otherwise you get out of the club. I like this kind of pressure, that’s why it’s a top team.” Fabregas then stormed away in emphatic fashion yelling “CHAMPIONS!”
