Lionel Messi was at it once again in Texas on Tuesday, as Argentina’s captain rescued a draw for the Albiceleste in their friendly against Mexico.

In front of 82,559 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, El Tri lead 2-0 going into the final five minutes but then Sergio Aguero pulled a goal back and the Manchester City forward then clipped in a delightful ball for Messi to score a sublime equalizer.

For Mexico, it was a dreadful late collapse, but interim head coach Ricardo Ferretti will have been buoyed by a mostly positive display from his players ahead of their huge CONCACAF Confederation Cup playoff against the U.S. at the Rose Bowl on Oct. 10.

Watch the video below of Messi’s brilliance, as his chest control, swivel and volley was eerily reminiscent of Mario Gotze’s winning-goal against Argentina in the 2014 World Cup final.
