Tottenham got off to another quick start, dominating the match from the opening whistle. Harry Kane saw a shot rejected by the post while Christian Eriksen’s free kick was denied by the crossbar as West Brom was lucky to be level 15 minutes in.

However, Spurs would get their breakthrough just after the half-hour mark thanks to an own goal from Baggies’ defender Craig Dawson. Christian Eriksen whipped a free kick across the box and as Dawson tangled with Jan Vertonghen, he fell and deflected the ball into his own net.

Arguably the biggest moment of the first half came away from the ball and went unnoticed by almost everyone on the pitch. As newly-crowned Young Player of the Year Dele Alli battled in the box with West Brom’s Claudio Yacob, Alli threw a punch at his opponent. Referee Mike Jones was looking away from the play, but the FA will surely be reviewing the incident that could bring a possible suspension for the young Spurs’ midfielder.

The visitors saw more of the ball in the second half, although it felt as if Spurs were still in the driver’s seat. However, that seemingly comfortable 1-0 lead was quickly erased when Craig Dawson scored his second goal of the game, this time for his own team. A well-hit corner kick found Dawson in the box, who rose above his mark and powered a header past Hugo Lloris in the 73rd minute.

With less than 20 minutes remaining to find an all-important winner, Spurs failed to break the deadlock as the match finished a 1-1 draw. Leicester City now need three points from their final three matches to win the Premier League title.
