Tottenham didn’t need Clint Dempsey, who missed the match with an injury, as Gareth Bale scored (again) along with Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jan Vertonghen in Spurs 3-0 victory over Inter Milan.

The decisive victory puts the London club in pole position to advance to the quarterfinal of the Europa League.

Bale, who has been on fire, also picked up an assist (good!) and a yellow card (bad!) for diving after crashing into Walter Gargano in the box. He will miss the trip to San Siro, which, considering the margin, might actually be a blessing for Tottenham. Then again, the last time we saw the winger at San Siro, he nearly broke the Internet.

Brad Friedel manned the net for Tottenham. Ageless, man, ageless.

Gareth Bale just CANNOT be stopped. Grabs the early goal to give Tottenham a 1-0 lead on Inter already. #TooHot

Correction. Gareth Bale CAN be stopped, by yellow card accumulation apparently. He draws a yellow and will now miss the 2nd leg.

Such a joker, that guy.
