Calling it a “storybook ending”, Tim Howard kept a clean sheet in his final time between the sticks at Goodison Park before getting “U-S-A” chants from an adoring crowd of American flag waving fans.
Everton toppled Norwich City 3-0 in what will go down as Howard’s last match before departing for Major League Soccer’s Colorado Rapids.

“Three-nil and a clean sheet is a heck of a way to go out,” Howard said. “I love playing here, I love coming out of the tunnel to the atmosphere of the Evertonians.”
The 37-year-old finishes his time in the Premier League with nearly 500 appearances between Manchester United and Everton, more than 400 of which came for the Toffees.
