Confession: About a year ago, I enlisted help from the answer web to figure out this “tifo.”
I had heard the term, but thought maybe it was a new type of Girl Scout Cookie. Or maybe a new dance all the kids new about? Or some fancy new Italian subcompact?
I was a little behind the learning curve on the ginormous, artistic displays that we see around the grounds now.
If you’re still a little late to the tifo party, allow the Wall Street Journal to help you catch up. Their piece this morning is a fun and informative read.
MLS supporters groups receiving prominent mention in the WSJ piece: Sons of Ben, Timbers Army, 1906 Ultras, Screaming Eagles and Emerald City Supporters. So, well done, guys!
Now, don’t you have some sheets to sew together before the weekend?
