PHILADELPHIA – A lot of people are excited about Tim Cahill’s impending arrival into Red Bull Arena. In fact count MLS All-Star and former World Cup winner Thierry Henry as one of them.

Here’s what Henry said Tuesday during the MLS All-Star press conference regarding the energetic Everton midfielder.

He’s going to be great. We’re going to have to wait for him to go through the medical. He’s going to be a great asset for us and also for the league.

“If you saw the guy play the way he plays, I love the commitment and I always loved his commitment. He’s great in the box. His headers are unbelievable. He fights. And his football IQ is great, also. Hopefully that can be a plus for us.”

The Red Bulls have yet to confirm Cahill’s arrival, but league officials say privately the deal has been agreed upon.
