Tap-in plus header plus free kick equals onto the UEFA Champions League semifinals for Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid.

Ronaldo is a really good soccer player, and even better when he’s playing in front of the Bernabeu. He showed that and then some with a hat trick to individually lead Real back from its 2-0 first leg deficit, beating Wolfsburg 3-0 at home on Tuesday.

The Portuguese mega star scored in the 15th and 17th minute, as Wolfsburg’s 2-0 lead has vanished in Madrid, then can thank Naldo for the third. The Wolfsburg defender opened up the wall by trying to mistime his block of Ronaldo’s free kick.

The ball zipped through the wall, and Ronaldo finally got some much needed self-esteem. Cheer up, old friend.
