The Gunners blitzed Aston Villa in a 192 second spell just after the half hour mark. Goals from Mesut Ozil, Danny Welbeck and an own goal from Aly Cissokho did the damage in just over three minutes as the Gunners exploded into life after a sloppy start. This was Arsenal’s first win since the opening day of the season and Arsene Wenger will be a happy man.

This match was hardly a classic but both sides almost nicked their first win of the season late on but were denied by the woodwork. Ashley Barnes hit the crossbar for Burnley and Patrick Van Anholt hit the post for Sunderland. Burnley have now gone seven hours without scoring a goal as both sides continue to struggle offensively.
The Tigers raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to stunning goals from Nikica Jelavic and Mohamed Diame at St James Park. With Newcastle’s fans calling for the head of manager Alan Pardew, you feared the worst for the Magpies but two goals from Papiss Cisse grabbed them a point and maybe bought Pardew some more time.
Queens Park Rangers 2-2 Stoke City
QPR were certainly outplayed for most of the game but Niko Kranjcar’s stunning late free kick salvaged a point for the Londoners at Loftus Road. Stoke went ahead via Mame Diouf’s header, but QPR equalized just before half time as Steven Caulker headed home. Stoke retook the lead through Peter Crouch but two minutes from time Kranjcar scored a cracker to make it 2-2.
Ronald Koeman has led his Southampton side to second in the table after their third-straight win. Victor Wanyama was the hero for Saints, as the Kenyan popped up and scored the winner 10 minutes from time. Swansea had Wilfried Bony send off in the first half for two yellows, in what become a real battle down at the Liberty Stadium
Liverpool’s poor start to the season continues as the Reds lost at Upton Park for their third defeat in the opening five matches. Early goals from Winston Reid and Sakho put the Hammers 2-0 up but Raheem Sterling’s strike before half time gave Liverpool hope. Late on Morgan Amalfitano sealed the win with his first Hammers goal as Brendan Rodgers’ side struggled.
