PHOTO: Manchester United kit going two-tone red next season?

Noted uniform web site FootyHeadines has posted a photo it claims is a close-up of next season’s Manchester United kit.

The two-tone red shirt is supposed to recall the green-and-gold shirt worn by United predecessors Newton Heath.

It’s a bit of a change from United’s first Adidas kit, which is straight-up red with three white stripes on the shoulders.

Obviously this doesn’t give the full kit, but the idea is intriguing. Netherlands wore a similar two-shaded kit for Euro 2012, but the difference in hues appeared more drastic (I’d suggest that’s probably an “orange” thing more than anything).
