Memphis Depay. There’s a lad not short on confidence.
After Manchester United agreed a deal to sign the Dutch international winger form PSV Eindhoven for around $40 million on July 1, Depay has spoken out about his goals and targets for the years ahead at Old Trafford.

It’s safe to say the 21-year-old has lofty expectations for not only himself but his new team.
Here’s what Depay has been saying at an Under Armour event in London.
“I believe I can be one of the best players in the world,” Depay said. “I am very excited (about the future). I always dreamed about the Premier League. But it is not the end of the dream. I am just getting started.”
Confidence. Swagger. Panache. Whatever you want to call it, Depay has it in abundance.
The Dutch winger has scored 28 goals on the way to leading PSV to the Dutch title this season and revealed how he turned down a move to Tottenham Hotspur last summer, before talking more about his targets at United and how he will aim to deliver goals and assists.
“Statistics don’t lie. I want to play every game as soon as possible and improve myself, but it’s results that count and scoring goals is the job — so for me that is really important,” Depay said. “So the manager needs me there to score goals. It is 60 per cent of the judgment of a player. If I don’t score goals or get assists, I am not doing my job.”
If Depay isn’t scoring or assisting, he’s not happy. That must be music to the ears of every United fan out there.
