A deal has been coming, but it appears Liverpool is set to acquire Southampton forward Sadio Mane this week.

Reports have linked Mane to the Reds recently, however, the 24-year-old will reportedly be at Anfield on Monday to undergo a medical. The Guardian is reporting that a deal should eb completed “in the coming days.”

Since joining Southampton in 2014, Mane has made waves in the Premier League, scoring 21 goals in two seasons for the Saints. The Senegalese forward has also grown into one of his country’s biggest stars, making 38 appearances with the national team since 2012.
Mane fell out of favor with manager Ronald Koeman over the second half of the 2015/16 season, but still managing to finish with 15 goals across all competitions, which led all Southampton scorers.
