Facundo Buonanotte scored in the first half and Leicester City put together a rare, resolute defensive performance to beat Bournemouth 1-0 at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
WATCH LEICESTER CITY vs BOURNEMOUTH LIVE
The Foxes have scored in every Premier League game this season but finally got a clean sheet and a win to give Steve Cooper a place to hang his hat early in this Premier League season.
Leicester move 15th with six points, three more than 18th-place Palace, while Bournemouth sit 13th with eight points.
Foxes finally find footing
Leicester City have played decent attacking football at times this season, and they’ve collected enough goals —including three from set pieces — to grab points from Spurs, Palace, and Everton. Two of those draws came at the King Power Stadium, and now they’ve got a win at home. The easiest path to safety for a promoted side is taking advantage of the familiar fixtures, and the Foxes are now 1-2-1 at the King Power Stadium. With just one point from the nine available away from the KP and a whopping minus-50 shot attempts in open play, Leicester is going to have to find its moments to earn another Premier League season. Delivering those at home is a fantastic start.

Cherries score but it won’t count
Lewis Cook’s free kick sails over everyone for 1-1!
Oh, but this is poor from Evanilson. He’s needlessly offside when the ball leaves Cook’s boot, then rises in an attempt to head the free kick.
He doesn’t get it, but he definitely puts off Leicester keeper Mads Hermansen. Offside.
Bournemouth sub
Dango Ouattara is coming on at the break for Justin Kluivert.
Halftime — Leicester City 1-0 Bournemouth
This has been very close, with Buonanotte’s vicious finish the difference.
Shots are 6-5 to Bournemouth, but Leicester have shaded possession and manufactured the best chances.
More to come from this, for sure, as these sides look capable of producing a great many chances. Finishing is the key, obviously.

Senesi gets a first-hand look at the game’s first goal.
James Justin, fresh off a brace last week, chips a ball to free up Facundo Buonanotte on the right.
Buonanotte cuts by Senesi and lashes a powerful left-footed shot past Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Well, well, well.
Close from Bournemouth
An early free kick is nodded just wide of the far post by Marcos Senesi.
