Boos have erupted at the Santiago Bernabeu this season for one of the world’s biggest stars.

Former Real Madrid playmaker and Orlando City SC midfielder Kaka feels that the jeers are unwarranted and disrespectful to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Via Cadena Cope:“Cristiano is a great player, I am not just talking about his quality, but in terms of what he has contributed to Madrid,” Kaka said of Ronaldo.
“I would like to see the fans have more respect for Cristiano for what he has done for this club.
“Sometimes I hear whistles against Cristiano and it’s not good after all he has done.”
Ronaldo and Kaka were teammates from 2009 to 2013, and the Brazilian has always held the stance that he is among the world’s top players.
This raises the question: why are Madrid fans so upset with their world class attacker?
The fanbase can understandably be upset with the team’s results this season, especially given Barcelona’s success, however, to take their anger out on the Portuguese winger is simply uncalled for.
Ronaldo, 31, has shouldered the team’s goalscoring load this season, and then some. In La Liga matches alone, Ronaldo has notched 28 finishes for Los Blancos while also added another 13 goals in the UEFA Champions League.
For a team like Real that has become so accustomed to winning over their history it’s obviously a reality check to sit buried behind Barca and Atletico Madrid in La Liga this year, but the fans need to take a step back and appreciate the brilliance that Ronaldo has brought to the club.
