Carlos Tevez’s return to Boca Juniors is turning into one of the more interesting transfers of the summer.
Juventus sold the 31-year-old Argentine back to his boyhood club, and Boca Juniors is sending four players to Juventus in a move more fit for the NBA or NHL than what we’d normally see in Serie A.

Tevez scored 50 times in 95 appearances over two years at Juve, and is The Old Lady’s two-time reigning Player of the Season. What’s he worth? About four players, including at least one potential star.
Vadala is seen as the key piece, one of the many prospects to have been given the absurd “Next Messi” label over the years. At 18, the striker has the nickname “The Little Toy”, according to ESPN, because of his thrilling dribbles and ball work.
From the Associated Press:Juventus sold Tevez for 6.5 million euros ($7.2 million) - although the European runner-up won’t see that money.
That’s because Juventus is paying Boca 3.5 million euros ($3.9 million) to acquire forward Guido Vadala on a two-year loan, plus 1 million euros ($1.1 million) each for the rights to midfielders Rodrigo Bentancur Colman, Franco Sebastian Cristaldo and Adrian Andres Cubas.
Juventus can purchase Vadala’s full rights for 9.4 million euros ($10.5 million) by April 2017.
Uruguayan midfielder Bentancur just turned 18, and has appeared in six matches for Boca’s first team. Cristaldo is also an 18-year-old Argentine midfielder with a goal in 10 appearances, while Cubas (pictured) is 19 an has appeared twice for Argentina’s U-20 side.
Tevez joins former Roma and Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago on the Blue and Gold.
