The turnover at Paris Saint-Germain continues as the club has appointed Patrick Kluivert as the new Director of Football.
The announcement comes weeks after Unai Emery replaced Laurent Blanc as PSG’s first-team manager.

Kluivert, 40, won a Champions League title as a player with Ajax in 1995 before leading the Netherlands to the semifinals of the 1998 World Cup. He won the Golden Boot at EURO 2000 and was Holland’s all-time leading scorer until Robin van Persie broke his record in 2013.
After working as an assistant manager under Louis van Gaal with the Dutch national team, Kluivert had a brief stint in charge of Curacao before returning to Ajax to coach the U19 side just a few months ago.
However, Kluivert will leave Ajax for PSG, as the club released a statement on Thursday outlining his role in Paris.Under the direction of Paris Saint-Germain Chairman and CEO, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Patrick Kluivert will play an active role in the national and international development of the Club and will also be charged with defining the Club’s long-term sporting strategy, for which he will be, amongst other roles, a leading ambassador. He will also engage in liaising with the biggest clubs and players in the world.
Patrick Kluivert will work in collaboration with the General Manager Jean-Claude Blanc, and will overview the work of our new first-team coach Unai Emery and assistant sporting director Olivier Létang.
In search of their fifth-consecutive Ligue 1 trophy, Kluivert won’t have to do much to improve PSG’s chances domestically. With Champions League glory at the top of the chairman’s wish list, it seems as if PSG is hoping Kluivert can use his status as one of the all-time greats to attract top talent to Paris.
