Juventus is 90 minutes away from just its second UEFA Champions League quarterfinal since 2006 after a 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund.

But The Old Lady’s star forward isn’t taking advancement for granted.

Carlos Tevez scored Juve’s first goal, and is hoping to find himself a two-time UCL winner come May (Tevez won the 2008 title with Manchester United).

But the Zebras will have to fend off a charge from BVB at the Westfalenstadion next month. That’s no easy task.

From Juventus.com:

Speaking to the media in Turin, the 30-year-old began: “It will be a tough return leg, nothing’s ever done and dusted in the Champions League. Even if we had won 3-0 we wouldn’t necessarily be home and dry.”

Tevez claims he is satisfied with the team’s overall performance and believes they were good value for the win on an entertaining night of European football at a packed out Juventus Stadium.

“It was a good game and a positive result for us. Up until their goal, which stemmed from our mistake, we had the upper hand, then we regained the lead and performed well for the rest of the encounter.”

Tevez continues to thrive in Europe for Juventus, something that eluded him at Manchester City. His Juve squad may not have the depth of its competitors for Europe’s crown, but is loaded with talent when healthy. On their day, Paul Pogba, Andrea Pirlo, Alvaro Morata, Gigi Buffon and Tevez can compete with anyone.

But can they hold up their advantage next month in Germany? It would only take 1-0 from Jurgen Klopp’s crew.
