The 31-year-old superstar has taken to social media to let everyone know how his recovery is going after a tackle from Dimitri Payet injured his left knee and forced him to come off in the 25th minute of Portugal’s 1-0 win over France in the EURO 2016 final.
Since then Ronaldo has been celebrating with his teammates as the captain of Portugal was front and center of a parade around Lisbon but rumors lingered that he had damaged his ACL in his knee and he could be out for most of the 2016-17 season. That doesn’t seem to be the case.
Ronaldo didn’t mention any specific details on the treatment he is undergoing but reports from Spain claim that he’s in a clinic in Ibiza for hyperbaric oxygen therapy which will speed up his recovery time.
“Hi everyone! I just wanted to thank all my fans,” Ronaldo said."I wanted to tell them that all is well and that I will come back much stronger. Thank you, long live Portugal!”

He isn’t expected to return to action for Real Madrid until early September prior to the UEFA Champions League group stage beginning.
