Key player: Lee Nguyen
The creative midfielder was a star in 2014, scoring 20 goals in 28 games, and he will once again be the leading light for New England. After returning to the USMNT fold at the end of 2014, Nguyen was instrumental in leading the Revs to the MLS Cup final. With Jermaine Jones and Scott Caldwell doing plenty of the dirty work in midfield, Nguyen was given a free role behind the forward line and he flourished. The 28-year-old is the creative hub of this young and exciting New England outfit. Expect him to be the go-to guy, once again.
Other names to watch: Juan Agudelo, Jose Goncalves, Jermaine Jones, Diego Fagundez

Head coach: Jay Heaps
A former Revs player and a coach who excelled in 2014, Heaps will look to build on his success last season and go one step further and win MLS Cup. That will be a tough ask, but there’s no question that he has all the tools to make the postseason once again. He has created an attacking, exciting side and is deemed as one of the brightest young coaches in MLS. In just his fourth season as a coach, plenty is expected of Heaps. Can he deliver?
Outlook for 2015
Lots is expected but with veterans like Jones and Goncalves meshing together talented forward like Agudelo, Nguyen and Fagundez, plus Teal Bunbury, Charlie Davies and Kelyn Rowe also around, the Revs are stacked with options. They will be one of the favorites to win the East and rightly so. The big question remains: can they go one step further and win that elusive MLS Cup in their 20th season as a franchise?
