    Blair signed a minor league contract with the Rays back in March and has been released after posting a calamitous 7.61 ERA, 1.86 WHIP and 17/15 K/BB ratio across 23 2/3 innings (21 appearances, two starts) this season for Triple-A Durham. The 33-year-old righty was a first round selection of the Cardinals back in 2010 and has yet to reach the majors.

    The 33-year-old career minor leaguer posted a 3.10 ERA and 1.01 WHIP over 40 2/3 innings last season. Blair has yet to make his major league debut.

    Red Sox re-signed RHP Seth Blair to a minor league contract.
    Blair was part of Boston’s 60-man player pool in 2020 but never did get called up from the alternate training site in Pawtucket. The 31-year-old former supplemental first-round pick of the Cardinals has yet to appear in a game at the major league level in his professional career. C Roldani Baldwin, RHP Raynel Espinal, LHP Stephen Gonsalves, 1B/OF Joey Meneses, OF Johan Mieses, 1B Josh Ockimey, C Jhonny Pereda, and RHP Caleb Simpson are also being brought back on new minor league agreements with the Red Sox.
