Giants promoted OT Selvish Capers from the practice squad.
The 2010 seventh-round pick will provide line depth provided he remains on the active roster through Sunday’s game. Capers has made zero career appearances.
  • FA Tackle #60
    Giants re-signed OT Selvish Capers.
The Giants are reversing last week’s transaction when Capers was dumped to make room for CB Terrence Frederick.
  • LAC Running Back
Redskins signed RB Shawnbrey McNeal, WRs Taurus Johnson and Maurice Price, OTs Selvish Capers and Xavier Fulton, and DT Rashaad Duncan to reserve/future contracts.
Coach Mike Shanahan has done plenty with far inferior talents to McNeal, so he’ll be a player to monitor this offseason. Capers was Washington’s seventh-round pick last April. Duncan is a needed big body at 6'2/315.
  • FA Tackle #60
Redskins signed seventh-round OT Selvish Capers to a four-year, $1.84 million contract.
Capers started out his career at West Virginia as a tight end before converting to a tackle. At 6'5/298 with good feet, he fits into Mike Shanahan’s trademark zone-blocking scheme. He’ll battle for a spot on the team as a backup at training camp.
  • FA Tackle #60
    Redskins waived OT Selvish Capers.
The seventh-rounder has the requisite athleticism for the Redskins’ zone-blocking scheme, but he’s still raw. Capers is a candidate for the practice squad.
