The Lakers are “progressing toward” a two-way deal with free-agent forward Sekou Doumbouya, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Doumbouya, the 15th overall pick in the 2019 draft, logged less than16 minutes per game in 56 appearances for the Pistons last season. The Rockets acquired Doumbouya via trade earlier this month, only to waive him two days later. The Lakers have depth issues but Doumbouya will likely spend the majority of the season in the G League and is not on the fantasy radar.
