Sekou Doumbouya has been waived by the Lakers as of Tuesday to make room for the Wenyen Gabriel signing.
Doumbouya only played in two games for the Lakers this season, so this shouldn’t impact any fantasy leagues.

Sekou Doumbouya (health and safety protocols) is listed as out for Friday’s matchup with the Magic.
Doumbouya has spent most of his tenure with the Lakers playing for their G-League affiliate. His presence in protocols won’t open up minutes for anyone, since he didn’t have any to lose.

The Lakers are signing Sekou Doumbouya to a two-way contract, the team announced on Wednesday.
In a related move, the Lakers have waved Jay Huff to create a roster spot. Huff will likely head to the Lakers G-League squad if he is not claimed by another NBA franchise. Doumbouya will not be a candidate in fantasy basketball with the Lakers.

The Lakers have waived Sekou Doumbouya.
The former first-round pick of the Pistons has not been able to establish himself since entering the NBA in 2019. Most recently signed to a two-way contract by the Lakers, Doumbouya was not a part of the team’s rotation. He’s being waived in order to make room for Chaundee Brown, who will fill that two-way contract slot.

Sekou Doumbouya (right foot soreness) has been ruled out for Monday’s game vs. the Bulls.
He’s typically not in the rotation, anyway.

Sekou Doumbouya (illness) isn’t on the injury report for Sunday’s game vs. Phoenix.
We may not see Doumbouya in the rotation, but at least he’s healthy.

Sekou Doumbouya (illness) is questionable for Saturday’s game vs. Phoenix.
He was not a part of the rotation in the Lakers’ opener, so whether or not he’s active will be irrelevant in fantasy hoops.

The Lakers are “progressing toward” a two-way deal with free-agent forward Sekou Doumbouya, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Doumbouya, the 15th overall pick in the 2019 draft, logged less than16 minutes per game in 56 appearances for the Pistons last season. The Rockets acquired Doumbouya via trade earlier this month, only to waive him two days later. The Lakers have depth issues but Doumbouya will likely spend the majority of the season in the G League and is not on the fantasy radar.

The Rockets have waived Sekou Doumbouya.
Houston acquired Doumbouya a couple days ago, but their real goal in that trade was for Brooklyn’s future second-round pick. Doumbouya should be able to snag a camp deal somewhere, but he’s well off the radar in fantasy hoops.

The Nets are reportedly in the process of trading Sekou Doumbouya and a second-round pick to the Rockets.
The move should save the Nets millions of dollars in salary and luxury tax while Doumbouya will be waived by the Rockets and free to sign with another team. He’ll catch on somewhere but isn’t likely to make an impact again this season.
